Thank you for taking the time to check out my website. Below is a bit of info on how I got where I am now.
I bought my first home at 18 years old. It was a two-bed terraced house in York. I remember moving in and standing in the living room crying because it had stars and moons wallpaper and immediately started stripping the wallpaper off the walls before we had even finished moving in. That’s when I knew I had an interior addiction.
I was on a very small salary that just about covered the bills and the house had no central heating. I used to wear gloves when I went on the computer in my bedroom.
I spent the little money I had renovating the property. I replaced kitchen cupboard doors in-stead of replacing the whole kitchen, replaced worktops and tiled the kitchen myself. Stair carpets were ripped up and sanded back to the original floorboards and I finally got central heating which was a present from a family member.
Everything I sourced was eBay finds or in the sale. When the house was completely renovated I decided to sell and sold the property after the first couple of viewings for double the price.
Since then I have bought, renovated and sold every property I have lived in. Not staying for longer than 3 years at a time. Every time I have sold within weeks, for the full asking price or very very close and made a good profit. That’s why I have moved 9 times in 15 years…
After falling pregnant with my second child, I decided that I wanted a career in Interior Design so I trained with the Interior Design Institute where I received my Interior Design Diploma.
I am also a certified Home Staging and Property Styling Professional and gained my qualification and certification through CHSSP.
I want to wipe out the myth that interior designers are just for the rich and bring you quality but affordable design solutions for all budgets and homes whilst working with you to determine what your style is, to achieve a design that is suitable to your lifestyle. I provide these services face to face or virtually.
I know how busy life can be, and finding the time to shop for the home can seem like a challenge, and unrewarding task, if you don’t know what you are really looking for. I offers a personal shopping service to help ease some of the pressures off your hectic schedule.
I love to work with people to help them re-design or just show them how to style a room. Please feel free to take a look at the Styling Services Tab or drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
